“India is at the core of our growth strategy and plays an important role in enabling us to deliver greater value to our clients and partners across the world,” said John Granger, senior vice president, IBM Consulting.
He said the company would set up a network of centres beyond the metros which would help it tap into a new talent pool and provide flexibility for employees as well.
The new centres take the total number of IBM CICs in India to ten.
“We are very bullish about growth and we need significant talent in significant quantities in order to fuel that growth. We think there is untapped potential in some of the smaller towns in India,” said Granger.
