The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) has decided to dismantle the Blockchain and Crypto Assets Council (BACC).
According to two sources familiar with the development, IAMAI has decided to distance itself from cryptocurrency.
Formed in 2017, BAAC is a not-for-profit association under the
of the IAMAI that represents the interests of the crypto ecosystem in India.
“IAMAI has decided not to do this,” one source said. “Companies will continue to do what they are doing.”
BACC did not comment to an immediate query from ET..
