Hyundai Venue updated with two new variants. Check here for more details

Hyundai Venue diesel E and S variants discontinued; mid-spec S variant available now only with 1.2-litre petrol.

Hyundai India has silently rejigged the Hyundai Venue line-up in our market. The Korean carmaker has introduced the Hyundai Venue S(O) and SX (O) at around ₹ 6.90 lakh and ₹ 11.75 lakh respectively, all prices ex-showroom, Delhi and has also discontinued few variants as part of the update.

So the diesel engine is now only available from the S(O) trim, while previously it was available in the entry-level E and S variants as well. The Hyundai Venue diesel now starts from around ₹ 9.45 lakh as compared to Rs 8.38 lakh earlier.

Now coming to the petrol line-up, the Venue turbo-petrol is now offered from the new S(O) trim onwards while Venue E and S only offered with the naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine.

Also removed from the line-up is fully-loaded SX(O) turbo-petrol with the manual gearbox and the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol can now only available with the iMT unit in the fully-loaded model. And of course, as part of the variant revision, the Hyundai Venue sees the addition of two new variants – S(O) and SX(O) Executive.

The former trim is available with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines, while the latter is a diesel only variant. The turbo-petrol is offered either with a six-speed iMT or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The S(O) trim level now is entry-level variant for the turbo-petrol and diesel engine model. Now we are yet to get details on what all features and creature comforts have been updated. Hyundai has also updated the mid-spec Venue SX with new steel wheels replacing the alloys wheels on the previous models.
