Six-month-plus waiting period for Creta diesel auto prompts buyers to look elsewhere.
I am looking to buy the Creta diesel automatic but the six month plus waiting period suggests I won’t get my car until September-October. By that time the Tata Curvv will also be out, and it gets a diesel too. Should I go in for the Creta or wait for the Curvv?

Autocar India says: While the diesel automatic on the Creta is a great powertrain, we suggest you look at other options like the Seltos diesel automatic, which offers the same engine-gearbox option as the Creta and has a slightly lower waiting period. While Tata Motors has confirmed that the Curvv will get a diesel, it is not yet known whether the SUV will come with a diesel automatic.
Alternatively, you can also look at petrol-hybrid options like the similarly priced Maruti Grand Vitara and the Toyota Hyryder; they get eCVT gearboxes and provide diesel-like fuel economy.
