The 2021 Hyundai Alcazar will be launched in India today. While Hyundai Motor India already offers some formidable SUVs like the Hyundai Venue, Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Tucson and Hyundai Kona EV, the new Hyundai Alcazar will add more depth to the automaker’s SUV line-up.
The 6/7-seater Alcazar is not only feature-loaded but also impressive in terms of specifications. There are a host of variants and colour options to choose from. We are expecting it to be priced diligently as well.

Hyundai Alcazar Price in India
The 2021 Hyundai Alcazar price in India is expected to be in the range of Rs 14 lakh to Rs 21 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Alcazar Variants
The new Hyundai Alcazar is available in six variants — Prestige, Prestige(O), Platinum, Platinum(O), Signature and Signature(O). There are as many as 18 trims.
Hyundai Alcazar Features
The 2021 Hyundai Alcazar has a lot in common with the SUV-segment leader in India, the Hyundai Creta. The headlamp unit is similar in both vehicles. However, the Alcazar gets a new grille and fog lamps.
There are all-new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Hyundai Motor India has also added side foot steps. The 6/7-seater SUV has a longer rear overhang. The tail lamps have been restyled and are LED units. The twin-tip exhaust makes the rear look more stylish.
The 2021 Hyundai Alcazar features list is quite extensive especially if you opt for the top-end trims. There’s a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument panel on offer sitting behind the multifunction steering wheel.
The central screen is a 10.25-inch unit, same as the Creta, and supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car tech is present as well that lets owners access vehicle status, locations, remote engine start/stop and cabin pre-cooling/pre-heating and a long list of other functions.
The driver gets to choose from Comfort, Eco and Sport drive modes and Snow, Sand and Mud traction control modes.
Other features include automatic climate control, integrated air purifier, 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, wireless phone charging, 64-colour ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, 8-speaker Bose audio setup, auto-dimming IRVM, electrically adjustable and auto-folding ORVMs to name a few.
Compared to the Hyundai Creta, the Alcazar gets additional features including a 360-degree camera view and front parking sensors as well as puddle lamps that project the Hyundai logo. Those seated in the second and third rows of the Hyundai Alcazar get dedicated aircon vents and USB charging ports.
Second-row occupants get tray tables as well along with cup holders and sunblinds. In the Hyundai Alcazar 6-seater, aside from individual captain seats, the second row features a fixed central armrest with cupholders and a wireless phone charging slot. One-touch tumble for the second row aids third-row ingress/egress.
Hyundai Alcazar Engine and Transmission
The customers can either opt for the third-generation Nu 2.0-litre petrol engine or the U2 1.5-litre diesel motor. The petrol engine develops 159PS of maximum power and 191Nm of peak torque, while the diesel motor produces 115PS of maximum power and 250Nm of peak torque. Both diesel and petrol engines have 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT torque converter choices.

Hyundai Alcazar Colour Options
The new Hyundai Alcazar has six exterior colour options — Phantom Black, Polar White, Starry Night, Taiga Brown, Titan Grey and Typhoon Silver. Also available are a couple of dual-tone paint options — Polar White with Phantom Black roof and Titan Grey with Phantom Black roof. The cabin of the Alcazar is based on a dual-tone Cognac Brown theme.
