Refreshed Alcazar is not expected to get any mechanical updates; launch in the coming months.

With the Creta having received a mid-life makeover earlier this year, Hyundai is now working on a facelift for the Alcazar. The upcoming three-row SUV has been spotted on test yet again, revealing some big design updates.

Hyundai Alcazar facelift: what’s new?

As per the latest spy shots, the Alcazar facelift gets a redesigned front-end, similar to the Creta. The changes include a new, larger grille and a new design for the split LED headlamps. The grille features a slightly different pattern as compared to its five-seat sibling. The updated SUV also gets a front radar which confirms the inclusion of ADAS safety features on the new Alcazar. While the rest of the body is covered in camouflage, the new alloy wheels are also clearly visible.

On the inside, expect the new dashboard from the Creta facelift to be carried over to the refreshed Alcazar as well. This includes the conjoined 10.25-inch infotainment screen and the similarly sized digital instrument cluster. As before, the Alcazar will be available in both six- and seven-seat configurations.

The Alcazar is expected to carry over its 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. The petrol powertrain puts out 160hp and 253Nm torque and can be had with either a 6-speed MT or an optional 7-speed dual-clutch auto, while the diesel motor is rated at 116hp/250Nm and is available with a 6MT and a 6AT gearbox options.
