How Imran Khan, Despite A Successful Debut, Lost His Way In Bollywood –

Aamir Khan’s nephew, Imran Khan began his acting career with the movie Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na in 2008.

Imran Khan is one of those actors who rose to fame after his debut movie in Bollywood. Before his debut as a lead, he had also played the role of a child artist in films like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. The actor showcased his potential and was deemed as one of the stars of the new generation. After a series of flops and controversies, the actor took a sabbatical from doing movies. Imran Khan was last seen in the movie Katti Batti in 2015 with Kangana Ranaut. The movie couldn’t do well at the box office.

The nephew of the Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, actor Imran Khan began his acting career with the movie Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na in 2008. The movie was widely appreciated by the critics and the audience. Several tracks of this movie became superhits such as Kabhi Kabhi Aditi and Pappu Can’t Dance. The film critics loved the performance of Imran Khan in the movie and called him the best young actor of the generation. He also won the Filmfare award in the category of Best Male Debut in the year 2008 overtaking the likes of Ranbir Kapoor.

A couple of flop movies like Kidnap and Luck saw the actor signing the 2010 rom-com, I Hate Luv Storys. It was written and directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film gained massive success at the box office. It also collected a decent collection outside India. The film overall acted as the breakthrough for the actor.

He was later seen in one of the critically acclaimed Hindi black comedies, Delhi Belly. His performance was widely appreciated by the audience and the movie was commercially successful too. In the same year, he was seen in the movie Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with Ali Zafar and Katrina Kaif. The movie was a hit at the box office. It was written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

The actor had a massive fan following and was beginning to create an image of a chocolate boy in Bollywood. He was next seen with Kareena Kapoor in the movie Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu gaining mixed reviews from the critics. The actor then gave a series of flops in the following years including Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, and Katti Batti. The actor has not been seen in the movies since 2015 but is rumoured to make a comeback after a long hiatus.
