However, did you know she is also related to the late veteran actor Dilip Kumar? Dilip Kumar and Sara Ali Khan share a special connection due to Sara’s maternal grandmother, Rukhsana Sultana.
Sara Ali Khan was speaking to Mid-Day when she learnt that Rukhsana Sultana was the sister of Begum Para, who was married to Nasir Khan. Nasir Khan is the brother of Dilip Kumar. Sara asked, “Am I Dilip Kumar’s relative? I’m the relative of Dilip Kumar. I love it. I’m going to tell people today. I’m going to walk around telling everyone, hey, you know what, I’m related to Dilip Kumar.”
Speaking about her grandmother, Sara said, “My grandmother passed away when I was 9 months old. So, I know nothing but just tremendous loss. I just know that she always had red lipstick on and she had these lovely sunglasses. She used to do yoga and she was a healthy person. She loved Paris she loved history and she loved culture, which just makes me feel a lot of FOMO because I think I would have really enjoyed and appreciated growing up with somebody like that. Also would have given my mom a lot more support because she’s done it all alone.”
On the work front, Sara Ali Khan is set to share the screen space with Ayushmann Khurrana for the first time in an upcoming action comedy film. This fresh pairing has generated a lot of buzz. The film will be produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment.
She will also be seen in Metro In Dino. The chronicle stars an ensemble cast of Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkana Sensharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
Backed by Bhushan Kumar, the film will be released on September 13, 2024, according to the latest update. The film is a stand-alone sequel to the hit film Life In A Metro. The music of Metro In Dino will be scored by Pritam, just like the super-hit numbers of the 2007 film. The previous film starred Kangana Ranaut, Shiney Ahuja, Shilpa Shetty, Dharmendra, Irrfan Khan, and Kay Kay Menon in pivotal roles.
