Top-spec Elevate ZX CVT costs Rs 16 lakh; deliveries commence today.
Honda has launched the Elevate SUV at Rs 11 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom, Delhi), for the base SV MT variant, going up to Rs 16 lakh for the top-spec ZX CVT variant. The carmaker will also begin deliveries for the Elevate today. The new midsize SUV is offered with only a 1.5-litre petrol engine, with manual and automatic gearbox options.

Compared to other midsize SUVs, the top-spec Elevate is the most affordable of the lot, while only the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun have a higher starting price. The base- and top-spec Honda City cost Rs 57,000 and Rs 5,000 more, respectively, than the equivalent Elevate variant.
Honda Elevate design
The Elevate features a big grille – with a big Honda logo – flanked by thin, LED headlights. The headlights are connected by a thick chrome bar at the top of the grille. The midsize SUV has a boxy design with slightly flared wheel arches, thick plastic cladding and a window line that tapers upwards towards the chunky C-pillar. The 17-inch alloy wheels are similar in design to the 16-inch alloy wheels on the facelifted City.
At the back, the Elevate gets a slightly raked windshield and tail-lights that are connected via a reflector bar. It also gets a big indentation on the tailgate for the number plate housing and also gets a faux skid plate.
Honda Elevate interior and features
The Elevate gets a free-standing 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster. The Elevate only gets a single-pane sunroof – like the Skoda Kushaq and the VW Taigun – while all other competitors come with a panoramic sunroof. The only midsize SUV without a sunroof is the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross.
Other features in the Elevate include a lane-watch camera, wireless charging and a rear parking camera. Honda is also offering its ADAS suite with the Elevate, with features like a collision mitigation braking system, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, road departure warning and automatic high beam assist. The MG Astor and Kia Seltos facelift are the only other midisize SUVs that get ADAS.
Honda Elevate powertrain, dimensions
The Elevate gets the same 121hp, 145Nm, 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine as the City, with power being sent to the front wheels via either a 6-speed manual or a 7-step CVT automatic.
Based on Honda’s Global Small Car platform, it measures 4,312mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,650mm in height, with a wheelbase, ground clearance and boot space of 2,650mm, 220mm and 458 litres, respectively. The Elevate has best-in-class ground clearance, with its wheelbase and boot space also being on the higher side when compared to its competition.

The Elevate rivals the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross.
