Both the SUVs will see their market launch by August this year.
I am looking to replace my 6-year-old previous-gen Hyundai Creta petrol automatic with another petrol SUV before Diwali this year. My daily commute is around 30km and I would prefer an automatic SUV. I really like the Kia Seltos, but the upcoming Honda Elevate has got me interested too. Will it be worth waiting for? My second option is the new Creta, and I am told that that too will get a facelift soon. Please suggest which one should I choose.

Autocar India says: Honda will showcase the Elevate on June 6 and the SUV will go on sale by August. Additionally, the Seltos facelift is also in the pipeline and will launch by July this year. The Elevate will be petrol-only and will have a CVT automatic on offer. The Seltos, too, gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a CVT gearbox. With the facelift, the more potent 1.5-litre turbo-petrol with 160hp and 7-speed DCT will join the line-up, and it is also expected to see a step-up in features.
Although the finer details about the Elevate are not known yet, we know that it will share its underpinnings with the tried-and-tested City sedan, and that’s already a good starting point. We’d, therefore, suggest you to wait a little longer and test drive the Elevate before finalising. As for the Creta facelift, it will only arrive early next year. So if you are not willing to wait that long you should be better off with the other two.
