Himalayan 450 price, accessories full list

A wide variety of accessories are available from aesthetic to functional and even luggage carrying options.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 represents many firsts for the company, but one area where it goes down the traditional route is in offering an extensive list of official accessories. As with its other bikes, these accessories have been designed and developed from the inception of the new Himalayan project and they are fully homologated.

Since a lot of Himalayan buyers tend to use their machines to go touring, Royal Enfield has developed a range of accessories to cater to this demographic. An entire set of luggage-carrying optional extras are available which include a tank bag, metal panniers and top box. The panniers are 26 litres each while the top box is 40 litres. One nifty thing about these panniers and top box is that they are the same units as the Himalayan 411 and you can use them on the new 450 but the mounting rails to equip them on the new model are different so you’ll have to buy those separately. Royal Enfield will also sell soft luggage for those who don’t want the big metal boxes.

The company will also sell you a set of touring mirrors, and in our experience with other Royal Enfield models, these are generally better-finished and sturdier than the stock mirrors. There is also a taller windscreen (90mm taller) on offer to help reduce windblast at sustained highway speeds. A better padded touring seat is also available which raises seat height by 7mm, and just like the stock seat this can be adjusted to two different heights. Equipping the bike with the touring seat raises seat height to between 832–852mm.

And since there are a lot of people who take the Himalayan off-road, there are a lot of protective accessories also available. A set of engine guards (one very minimalistic and one quite prominent), a beefy aluminium sump guard, a metal radiator guard and headlight grille are all available. Royal Enfield will also sell you optional handguards that are reinforced with an aluminium spine.

Most of the above accessories come under the Adventure Pack. However, Royal Enfield will also sell you a Rally Pack with a more racy looking tail section and a flat, rally-style seat that takes the seat height up by 34mm. You can also purchase a different handlebar that is 13mm closer to the rider and either 37mm or 55mm higher depending on how you install the two-way handlebar riser.

An important point worth considering is that the rally-style tail section needs to be optioned at the time of purchase through the Royal Enfield MIY (Make It Yours) program and it cannot be bought later as an accessory. This is because this seat and tail section is separately homologated and these parts are not compatible with the standard Himalayan 450.
