It has been thirty years since the Hero Splendor went on sale, and the bike is now available with a disc brake. The latest Hero Splendor Plus Xtec can now be had with a front disc brake for an additional Rs 3,550.

The rest of the bike is identical to the lower Splendor models, featuring the same 8.02hp and 8.05Nm performance figures from the fuel-injected 97.2cc single-cylinder engine. The bike runs on 18-inch wheels, and the disc version weighs an additional 1.6kg, taking the total to 113.6kg.Â
Priced at Rs 83,461 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Splendor+ Xtec Disc is available in three graphic schemes: Black Sparkling Blue, Black Tornado Grey, and Black Red. This is the highest-spec version of the standard Splendor with the iconic sloper engine, and it comes with features like a digital display, Bluetooth connectivity and fuel-saving start-stop tech.
