Here’s a step-by-step guide to block SBI’s ATM cum debit card

-If you lose or forget your debit card, you can use this feature to block it.
-Please verify that you have registered your mobile number with the Bank before proceeding.
-If Phone Number &Account No.an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile phone if they are valid.

  • Enter the OTP that was sent to your phone.Partially masked, the account will display all issued cards.
    Please click the submit button after selecting the card number you wish to block.
    -Caution!You are unable to unblock a card online once it has been blocked.

Step 1: Visit https://retail.onlinesbi.sbi/retail/blockatmcard.htm
Step 2: Enter account number, select country, enter registered mobile number and enter the captcha image and click on submit.


Call on toll-free number

The quickest way to block your SBI ATM/debit card is to call the bank’s toll-free numbers, 1800 11 2211 or 1800 425 3800.You can block your card by following the instructions you receive after dialing the toll-free number.

Via SMS
By sending the bank a predefined SMS message, you can also disable your SBI ATM/debit card. To disable your ATM card, send BLOCK XXXX to 567676, where XXXX are the last four digits of the debit card number. To send the SMS, the cellphone number associated with the bank account must be used.

After the SMS has been received by the bank, you will receive a confirmation SMS. The ticket number, blocking date, and time will be included in the SMS notification.
