New Delhi: State Bank of India, the largest public sector lender in India, provides a variety of online, SMS, and mobile app-based services to meet the diverse banking requirements of its customers. One of the many services that the SBI has launched to answer all of your banking questions is the SBI WhatsApp Banking services.
The SBI WhatsApp Banking System can be activated online or via SMS. This is how to proceed.
- Go to the SBI website at https://bank.sbi.com. The steps for signing up for Watsapp Banking have been explained in detail.
- To use SBI’s services, simply scan the QR code on your mobile device. – You will be prompted to send “Hi” to +919022690226 from your WhatsApp number. – Now, follow the Chat-Bot’s instructions. Alternatively, you can send an SMS with the format “WAREG >ACCOUNT NUMBER” to 7208933148 from your registered SBI mobile number.
— Now, follow the steps below:
- If your registration is successful, you will receive a confirmation message on your Whatsapp account linked to your registered mobile number. – Send a “Hi” from your WhatsApp number to +919022690226 and follow the Chat-Bot’s instructions.
However, if you are unable to register for the Whatsapp Banking service for any reason, check the SMS format and the mobile number of the destination. In addition, ensure that your Bank account number has been updated on your mobile number, which will be used to send the SMS. If not, update your mobile number at your SBI Branch.
