The Edmonton Centre will house an engineering and co-innovation lab, which will enable hitech and software clients to not only envision their products but also to see rapid product prototyping, collaborative research and continuous learning to create faster time to market.
Clients can leverage the centre to create new product designs while collaborating on go-to-market solutions. The Edmonton team will be engaged in product engineering, platform engineering, operational technology services and R&D.
In addition to the Edmonton Centre, HCL has a presence in Canada through global delivery centres in Mississauga, Ontario, and Moncton, New Brunswick. The company will hire locally for the new centre, it said.
On Friday, shares of HCL Technologies rose 0.24% to Rs 1,080.50 apiece on the BSE while the benchmark Sensex ended the day 0.13% lower at 57,200.23 points.
