Thousands of users faced glitch while using the popular messaging app for workplace, Slack, on Friday. The application stopped working for many users as it showed ‘something went wrong’ message on its page.
The reasons for the outage is not clear, however, many people experienced difficulty in using the application in afternoon. At that time, Slack’s status was indicating proper connectivity.
“Some customers are encountering various errors in Slack. We’re actively looking into this, and we’ll report back as more information becomes available,” notified slack at 2:40 pm, GMT +5:30.
Based on Slack’s latest information update on the technical glitch, services of the applications are expected to resume at around 4:45 pm. At that time, Slack updated its status back to ‘Up and running’
“Customers should no longer be experiencing any connection issues with Slack. Apologies for the trouble today and thank you for your patience,” notified slack at 4:36 PM GMT+5:30.

Minutes after Slack users starting facing issues with the app, Slack continued to keep its status as ‘working’. This resulted in further confusion among users about the application’s working status.
