Tabu has won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice. She holds the record for the most wins of Filmfare’s Critics Award for Best Female Performer.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TABU: Bollywood diva Tabu is regarded as one of the most versatile Indian actresses of her generation. She has mainly worked in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu films, though she has also starred in Malayalam, Marathi, and Bengali-language films, as well as one American film. The diva always leaves the audience spellbound with her spectacular performance, which is hard to get over.
She is best known for portraying intriguing characters in artistic, low-budget films that go on to garner more critical appreciation than substantial box-office figures, with few exceptions. Tabu’s first known role was in Dev Anand’s Hum Naujawan as a teenager.

Tabu has won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice. The Drishyam 2 actress holds the record for the most wins of Filmfare’s Critics Award for Best Female Performer. In 2011, the Government of India also awarded her the Padma Shri for her contributions towards the arts.

Kuttey (2023)
Directed by Vishal Bharadwaj’s son, Aasmaan Bharadwaj, the film casts Tabu, Arjun Kapoor, Radhika Madan, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Shardul Bhardwaj and Kumud Mishra in lead roles. Kuttey is produced by Vishal Bhardwaj, Ankur Garg, Luv Ranjan, and Rekha Bhardwaj under the banner of Luv Films and Vishal Bhardwaj Films and presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.
Bholaa (2023)
Bholaa is a Hindi remake of the critically acclaimed 2019 hit Tamil film ‘Kaithi.’ Directed by Ajay Devgn, the film features a talented cast, including Tabu, Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra, Gajraj Rao, and Vineet Kumar in lead roles. The movie centres around a man who, after being released from prison after a decade, faced numerous challenges and dangerous situations on his way to meet his daughter.
Khufiya (2023)
Starring Tabu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi, Khufiya is a soft and strong neo-noir spy thriller that unearths the world of espionage, but with subtlety, realism, and some slips. Written and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film was released on October 5 and is based on Amar Bhushan’s spying novel Escape to Nowhere.
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha! (2023)
Ajay Devgn and Tabu are back again with a romantic drama titled Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha! Helmed by Neeraj Pandey, the film is Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s tenth film, which showcases a unique musical love story spanning across 20 years and is set between 2002 and 2023. The film also stars Jimmy Shergill in a key role.
The Crew (2024)
Produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, ‘The Crew’ is an upcoming film that depicts the struggles of three hard-working women whose destinies lead to some unwarranted situations, and they end up getting caught in a web of lies. The comic entertainer stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, Kriti Sanon, and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles.
