HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRABHAS: Fans can’t keep calm, it’s South superstar Prabhas’ birthday today. From being the Rebel actor in the South film industry to fans’ Darling and finally the Bahubali of Indian cinema, Prabhas is ruling the hearts across the globe and how. While the actor stepped into the world of cinema with the 2002 film Eshwar, it was the year 2004 and the film Varsham that cemented his place in the industry.

Courtesy of Sobhan’s directorial, Prabhas emerged as the action hero in the industry. But hands down it was SS Rajamouli’s Bahubali franchise that made him a household name across the globe. And the rest is history. Today, Prabhas is considered one of the bankable actors of Indian cinema. 1. Baahubali FranchiseHow can we start our list without talking about Prabhas’ blockbuster Baahubali series? Helmed by SS Rajamouli, the movie made Amrendra Baahubali and Kattappa a household name. Baahubali: The Beginning hit the screens in 2015 and went on to break records. But Baahubali: The Conclusion turned out to be an even bigger beast at the box office. Prabhas’ performance in the movie was loved equally by fans and the critics.
2. MirchiHelmed by Koratala Siva, Mirchi hit the theatres in 2013. The actioner features Prabhas preaching peace and love and trying hard to change the violent family of his girlfriend. However, he himself has a connection to the dark past. Apart from Prabhas the movie also stars Anushka Shetty and Sathyaraj, who essayed the role of Kattappa in Baahubali.
3. ChatrapathiA decade before Prabhas became a sensation with his Baahubali, SS Rajamouli’s 2005 Chatrapathi cemented the actor in the Telugu Film Industry with the action flick. It centred around the story of a displaced refugee. The movie featured Prabhas alongside Shriya Saran and Pradeep Singh Rawat.
4. SalaarOne of the most highly anticipated films of the year, Salaar is helmed by KGF fame director Prashanth Neel. Salaar will once again feature Prabhas in an action avatar. Apart from Prabhas, Salaar also features Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film, which is slated to hit the theatres on December 22, will be clashed with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki.
5. Kalki 2898 ADAfter Salaar, Kalki 2898 AD is one of the biggest projects, featuring Prabhas. Helmed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD boasts an ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani among others. So far the makers have unveiled the intriguing first looks of Prabhas, Deepika and Big B. Needless to say, it looks intense through and through. The film is slated to hit the theatres next year in January.
