1. In 1960, Sivagami, the last film starring MK Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, the first superstar of Tamil cinema, was released. After this film, Kalathur Kannamma, starring Kamal Haasan released in theatres. He displayed his acting credentials in his debut film. Kalathur Kannamma was a huge success.

2. Kamal Haasan holds the record of being the only actor, globally, with 64 years of acting experience.
