Google has launched its flagship Pixel 9 lineup powered by the Tensor G4 chipset and many powerful Gemini AI related upgrades. Pixel 9 lineup are the first smartphones to come with Gemini Nano multimodal model and Satellite SOS.

Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL price in India:
The Pixel 9 variant comes with 12GB RAM/256GB storage and is priced at ₹79,999. The latest Pixel device will be available in 4 colour variants: Peony, Porcelain, Obsidian and Wintergreen, and will be available on Flipkart, Croma and Reliance Digital from August 22.
Meanwhile, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL feature 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and are priced at ₹1,09,999 and ₹1,24,999 respectively. Both the models will be launched in four finishes: Hazel, Porcelain, Rose Quartz and Obsidian.
Pixel 9 specifications:
Pixel 9 features a 6.3-inch Actua OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2424 pixels and 2,700 nits of peak brightness. The phone has a variable refresh rate of 120Hz and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection for both the front and back. As mentioned above, the Pixel 9 is powered by the Tensor G4 processor and also features a Titan M2 security chip.
In terms of optics, the Pixel 9 has a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP wide-angle lens with up to 8x super-res zoom and a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens. There is also a 10.5MP dual PD sensor on the front for selfies and video calls.
It comes with a 4,700mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging (adapter sold separately). The Pixel 9 runs on Android 14 and, like last year, Google is promising 7 years of OS and security updates with the Pixel 9 range. All 3 phones are also IP68 rated for dust and water resistance.
Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL specifications:
The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are essentially the same phone, with display size being the differentiator. The Pixel 9 Pro features a 6.3-inch Super Actua LTPO OLED display with 3000 nits peak brightness and up to 120Hz refresh rate.
Meanwhile, the Pixel 9 Pro has a larger 6.8-inch Super Actua LTPO display with the same 3,000 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection as its sibling.
Optics wise, both the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL feature a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 48MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and 30x super-res zoom. The selfie camera gets a major upgrade from the vanilla version, with the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL coming with a 42MP Dual PD shooter.
The Pixel 9 Pro comes with the same 4,700mAh battery as the standard Pixel 9, while the 9 Pro XL gets a slightly bigger 5,060mAh battery.
