You may also notice a hoarse or muffled voice. Under these circumstances, you can use some home remedies to alleviate your problems. As per the Ayurvedic doctor of Balrampur Hospital, Jitendra Sharma here are a few remedies one can use-
Garlic
Apart from enhancing the flavour of food and adding aroma, Garlic is known to help against sore throat. As per the doctor, if you consume garlic, you can get relief from sore throat and pain. Garlic has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help fight off infections.
Ginger
Ginger too is a helpful food that can help against sore throat. As per the doctor, it has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that tackle swelling and pain. Add more ginger to your warm soups, or dals. Or sip on ginger tea twice or thrice daily for relief.
Honey
Honey too has anti-inflammatory properties that help against sore throat. Add it to lukewarm water or tea and sip on it throughout the day. You can also add a tablespoon of honey to chopped Tulsi leaves or ginger and chew it.
Clove
One of the most common spices that is available in an Indian household is clove which can be used against sore throat. Take a piece of clove and some rock salt and chew it to cure your sore throat. It reduces the inflammation that takes place around the pharynx and offers relief.
Black Pepper
Black peppercorn can soothe a sore throat, suppress cough and boost immunity to fight against cold. You can crush black peppercorn and chew it with a tablespoon of honey. Or you can add this powder by brewing a concoction that will give you instant relief. Boil ginger, Tulsi leaves, and clove together. You can add a few tea leaves or completely skip it. When the water boils, add two teaspoons of black pepper. Filter the drink and add a few drops of honey to it.
