EPF Balance: You can easily check your Employees Provident Fund (EPF) account balance by following a few straightforward steps if you have a Universal Account Number (UAN).

Method for checking your EFP balance that was missed:

1. Verify that your UAN is working.
2. Make a missed call from your registered mobile number to 011-22901406
3. You will receive an SMS containing all of the information about your EPF balance shortly after making the missed call.

Method for checking your EFP balance via SMS:

1. Connect your bank account, Aadhaar, and PAN numbers to your UAN.
2. Send an SMS from your registered mobile number to 7738299899.
3. Write “EPFOHO” followed by your UAN number in the SMS.
4. The information regarding your most recent contribution and the EPF account balance will be sent to you via SMS.

How to check your EFP balance with the Umang app:

1. Install the Umang mobile application.
2. Select the language you prefer.
3. Enter the One-Time Password that was sent to your mobile phone number.
4. Connect your Aadhaar ID.
5. Your KYC will be completed automatically in this app once Aadhaar is linked.
6. The app lets you check your EPF balance and other information.

All EPFO members can use this service for free. It is available in English and Hindi, among other languages, in ten languages. After UAN, you must enter the first three words of the language you choose to receive the SMS in order to receive it in a language other than English. For instance, in order to obtain information in Hindi, you will need to send an SMS by writing EPFOHO UAN HIN.
