August and September witnessed cinema enthusiasts celebrating Bollywood films’ release as many flocked to nearby theatres to watch the biggest entertainers of the year. Films released in the past few weeks were loved by the audience and the critics. But those who missed out on these movies need not worry. They can watch them on OTT, as they will be streaming on platforms including Netflix, ZEE5, Amazon Prime, and Jio Cinema.
Let’s take a look at 5 Bollywood films that are releasing on OTT platforms in October:
1- Gadar 2
Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel starrer Gadar 2 received a grand welcome from the audience. The film, even after one and half a month, is running successfully in theatres as fans are showering the sequel with love and support. The OTT rights of Gadar 2 have been sold to ZEE 5, and the film will be streaming from October 6 onwards.
2- OMG 2
OMG 2, featuring Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar, hit the theatres on the same day as Gadar 2. Despite the clash, OMG 2 managed to attract the audience to the theatres and minted a whopping Rs 100 crore. The film received rave reviews and was loved by the masses. The movie is now gearing up for its release on JioCinema in October. However, the makers are yet to confirm the date.
3- Zara Hatke Zara Bachke
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke was a surprise hit at the box office. The romantic comedy headlined by Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan entered the 100-crore club. The songs from the film continue to be the top favourite of the music lovers. The film will be soon streaming on Jio Cinema but the release date is yet to be announced.
4- Dream Girl 2
Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2 made it to the theatres on August 25. The film first struggled to mark its place in the list of hit films. Later, positive responses came in and the film became a hit among the masses. Dream Girl 2 is releasing on Netflix next month.
5- Khufiya
Written, produced, and directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, the film is based on Amar Bhushan’s novel ‘Escape To Nowhere’. The film has an ensemble cast of Tabu, Ali Zafar, and Wamika Gabbi in the lead roles. It will be released on October 5 on OTT giant Netflix.
