Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with much zeal in Maharashtra and other parts of the country, with devotees travelling long distances to visit popular pandals to seek Lord Ganesha’s blessings. The festivities are back in full swing after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Going by the past trends, it is safe to say that the ongoing Ganeshutsav is one of Bollywood’s favourite festivals. Celebrities have been seen seeking Lord Ganesha’s blessings at Lalbaug Cha Raja. The who’s who of Bollywood, from Kartik Aryan and even AbRam Khan, visited Lalbaugcha Raja this year.
A video posted by a paparazzo Viral Bhayani showed Shamita Shetty and her mother Sunanda Shetty visiting Mumbai’s famous Lalbaugcha Raja to seek Bappa’s blessings. They were both seen posing for photos in front of the magnificent Ganesha idol. Following that, the video showed a man handing over what appeared to be a book with a picture of Ganesha on the front to Shamita. Dressed in a pristine white salwar kameez, Shamita paid a visit to Lalbaugcha Raja on the fourth day of the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities.

Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, one of Mumbai’s most well-known Ganesh pandals, was founded in 1934. The wait for a Darshan can occasionally last longer than 24 hours due to the large number of devotees who travel from all over the nation to see the Ganesha idol.
Photos of Shamita from her sister and actress Shilpa Shetty’s home during Ganpati Visarjan were also widely circulated on social media. Another video of the two sisters dancing during the visarjan was posted by the paparazzo on Instagram.
