During the trailer launch event, the filmmaker said that Prabhudeva did not charge any money for the song out of admiration and respect for Ram Charan and producer Dil Raju.
Jaragandi, the catchy track from Ram Charan-starrer Game Changer, was released by the makers last year, and it managed to create a lot of buzz among fans. Ram Charan and Kaira Advani’s flawless moves and sizzling chemistry have been quite appreciated. The song was choreographed by Prabhudeva and is surely one of his most memorable works. But did you know he gave up his compensation for the film? Director Shankar in a recent interaction confirmed the same.
During the trailer launch event, the filmmaker Shankar stated that Prabhudeva did not charge any money for the song out of admiration and respect for Ram Charan and producer Dil Raju. All he wanted was to be given proper credit for his job. Shankar stated, “Prabhudeva worked for the song without taking any remuneration and said that he only wants credits. He wanted to work for the peppy number out of love and respect for Ram Charan and producer Dil Raju.” In addition to Prabhudeva, several additional choreographers, including celebrated Bosco Martis, Ganesh Acharya, Sandy Master, and others, worked on the film’s various tracks.
Kiara Advani also praised the intense choreography for Jaragandi in an interview with Anupama Chopra. She stated, “Jaragandi is the hardest song I have shot. Prabhudeva sir is the choreographer, and we had a lot of rehearsals. There are a lot of back-breaking steps in Jaragandi song. Prabhudeva sir made Charan, and me do all the same steps. I have to match him.” She added that it was a pleasure for her to perform a massy song like Jaragandi as she had never done anything like this before. Kiara mentioned that even director Shankar praised her for being expressive in this masala song.
Game Changer stars Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The film also features Anjali, SJ Suryah, Jayaram, Sunil, Srikanth, Samuthirakani, and Nassar. Ram Charan will play Ram Madan, an IAS officer, with Kiara Advani playing his love interest and another IAS officer. The screenplay was written by Karthik Subbaraj. Game Changer was unveiled in 2021. However, it encountered numerous delays. The film will ultimately enter theatres on January 10, 2025, in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
