Finance Ministry extends ITR filing deadline till November 7: ITR Filing 2022-23

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said in a notification that the ITR filing due date has been reached out as it had last month broadened the cutoff time for filing review reports.

New Delhi: Giving an unwinding to the citizen, the Finance Ministry has broadened the cutoff time for filing income tax return for the evaluation year of 2022-23 till November 7, 2022. The choice was taken on Wednesday. It is to be noticed that the last date to file ITR for FY23 was October 31.

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said in a notice that the ITR filing due date has been stretched out as it had last month expanded the cutoff time for filing review reports.


CBDT expands the due date for filing income tax return for AY 2022-23 to seventh November, 2022 for specific classes of assessees in outcome of augmentation of due dates for recording different reports of review. Circular No. 20/2022 dated 26.10.2022 gave.

This is the way to check ITR status:
Those whose ITR doesn’t need a review (and who have presented their ITR for AY 2022-23) are hence entitled for an ITR refund, and such citizens can check their ITR refund status online in case they presently can’t seem to get the abundance charge sum they paid during FY 2021-22.

Following 10 days of filing an ITR, citizens in India can check the status with their ITR refund. In this way, citizens who presented their ITR over 10 days prior and are as yet sitting tight for their ITR discount can check the status with their ITR refund online by signing in to the income tax e-filing gateway.

This is the way to check ITR refund status online with an affirmation number at the income tax e-filing portal:

1] Sign in utilizing the accompanying link: https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/login;

2] Sign in with your User ID and password.

3] Explore to ‘My Account’ and select ‘Refund/Request Status’.
