Just like the Grande Panda, future models will use the CMP modular platform, shared with Citroen C3 in India.
Fiat recently took the wraps off the radically styled 5-seat Grande Panda, which will sit above the outgoing and quite popular Panda small SUV in its global line-up. The Italian brand, now owned by Stellantis, has plans to further expand the Panda range with the introduction of more models in the future.

Fiat Panda line-up: what’s in store?
As reported by our sister publication Autocar UK, Stellantis will leverage its Common Modular Platform (CMP) further by adding more models to the Fiat Panda family. The Grande Panda sits on similar underpinnings as the Citroen C3 and a few other models that use the CMP. This is Stellantis’ value-minded Smart Car platform. Originally engineered for developing markets, it has been adapted for global models and can accommodate both internal combustion and battery-electric powertrains.
In the future, Fiat plans to introduce larger SUVs branded under Panda that will utilise this platform. These will include a mid-size SUV similar to the Duster, as well as an SUV coupe. Both models will share many components to achieve competitive pricing. Additionally, Fiat plans to introduce a lifestyle pickup truck and an MPV. There is also the possibility of future battery-powered versions of these body styles. All models in this line-up will feature styling cues similar to the Grande Panda. Fiat will introduce one new body style for the Panda family every year. Â
In India, Stellantis will continue to sell the CMP-based models under the Jeep and Citroen brands. As we reported recently, Jeep is developing a new Creta-rivalling SUV based on the same, and Citroen will also have the upcoming Basalt coupe SUV, joining the C3 and C3 Aircross.Â
