Farah Khan says she felt irritated when guests didn’t greet her brother Sajid Khan well during his stint in Bigg Boss 16.
Sajid Khan’s entry into Bigg Boss 16’s house surprised many. The filmmaker had faced sexual misconduct allegations during #MeToo, leading to his ban from directing films by IFTDA and removal from Housefull 4. On the show, he admitted to being jobless for four years. In the January 15 episode of Bigg Boss 16, after 106 days inside the house, Sajid Khan exited the show as his contract has ended. This happened because he had to go back to directing his film as per schedule.
Farah Khan had entered the house as part of family week and met Sajid and his ‘mandli’ – aka group of friends who were loyal to him during his stay in the house. Recently, during a chat with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Farah had opened up on how she felt bad about guests not treating Sajid well. She had said, “Iss bar main khule mann se, without stress, dekh rahi hu. Ghar ke koi jayena na, toh it’s very stressful. It’s a stress ke kisine agar kuch bol diya. Pehle ek-do mahina toh itna bawal huya. Guests bhi ja rahe the na..they were also behaving very strange with Sajid toh woh bhi mujhe bahut bura lag raha tha. Aree ek hee tumhare industry se. Hello toh bol do? Ab tum usko ignore kar rahe ho kyun ki tumhare manager ne bola hai ke inse baat nehi karna nehi toh tumhari trolling hogi, toh that also was irritating me (This time, I am watching openly, without stress. If no one from the house goes out, it’s very stressful. It’s stressful if someone says something. In the first one or two months, there was so much chaos. Even the guests who were going… they were also behaving very strangely with Sajid, so that was also making me feel very bad. Just from your own industry. Can’t you say hello? Now you’re ignoring him because your manager said not to talk to him, or you’ll be trolled). But, there were quite a few, who went on their own and were very nice to him. I will remember that.
Sajid Khan was mired in the #MeToo controversy in 2018 after nine women from the entertainment industry accused the filmmaker of sexually harassing them.
