Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha tied the knot on September 24 in Udaipur in presence of their family members and close friends.
Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha exchanged rings on May 13 this year in the company of their family members. And on September 24, the lovebirds tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at The Leela Palace in Udaipur, which was attended by the who’s who of the political world. Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann along with Harbhajan Singh, Sania Mirza and Manish Malhotra were also a part of the guest list.
The couple was set to throw two star-studded reception parties in Chandigarh and Mumbai for Raghav’s peers and Parineeti’s industry friends, respectively. There were also speculations that the reception that will be attended by politicians might also be held in Delhi. But there seems like a slight change in the plan.
A well-placed source exclusively tells Showsha that now one big reception party will be hosted by both the bride and the groom in Mumbai. “The party in Chandigarh and Delhi stands cancelled as of now. Parineeti and Raghav will now be hosting their friends in Mumbai. The party is set to take place on October 4,” the source says.
The reception will see most of Parineeti’s co-stars attending it. “Parineeti wanted only her closest friends and relatives to be a part of her nuptials in Udaipur and it was already predecided by the couple to invite the rest of their peers and friends to be a part of their engagement,” the source adds.
Parineeti’s cousin, Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ absence from her big day raised many questions. However, Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra attributed the same to her chock-o-block schedule. We have further learnt that Priyanka might not be a part of the reception party either.
Parineeti and Raghav’s pre-wedding ceremonies kicked off in Delhi with a Sufi night which was followed by an Ardaas ceremony. The couple then arrived in Udaipur where Parineeti’s Choora and Mehndi ceremony were held on September 23. The two also hosted a mega Sangeet ceremony on the same day and then tied the knot on September 24.
Sharing her dreamy wedding photos on social media, Parineeti had written, “From the very first chat at the breakfast table, our hearts knew. Been waiting for this day for a long time .. So blessed to finally be Mr and Mrs! Couldn’t have lived without each other .. Our forever begins now .. ”
