Even though actors Ranvir Shorey and Konkona Sen Sharma split up years ago, they continue to co-parent their son, Haroon, in a friendly manner. Recently, they came together to celebrate Haroon’s 13th birthday, posing for a happy family photo shared by Ranvir on Instagram. In the picture, Ranvir wears a grey T-shirt, Konkona sports a black one, and Haroon looks cool in a blue T-shirt, standing between his parents with a smile.
Ranvir wrote in the caption, “In personal news, we now have a teenager in our midst. #terribleteens”
Ranvir tied the knot with Konkona in September 2010, and she welcomed their son, Haroon, in March 2011. However, the couple separated shortly afterward. They have appeared together in films such as Rajat Kapoor’s 2006 movie Mixed Doubles, Anil Mehta’s 2007 film Aaja Nachle and Anant Mahadevan’s 2015 period drama Gour Hari Dastaan. That apart, Ranvir starred in Konkona’s directorial debut, A Death in the Gunj, released in 2017.
Last year, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Konkona mentioned that she and Ranvir coordinate their schedules to ensure that one of them is always available for Haroon. She also said she’s lucky when it comes to Ranvir’s involvement as a parent. She had said, “I am very lucky because Haroon’s father is a very involved parent. The thing is, because both of us are working and shooting, we are able to mostly balance it out. When Haroon’s father is shooting, I try to be in town and vice versa.”
On the professional front, Konkona was last seen in Abhishek Chaubey’s Netflix India Original series Killer Soup earlier this year. She will next star in Anurag Basu’s romantic anthology Metro… In Dino, the sequel to their 2007 film Life in a… Metro. Ranvir was last seen in a cameo in Manish Sharma’s blockbuster spy thriller Tiger 3 last year.
