EPFO announces the declaration of the interest for the year 2020-21.

EPFO has credited an interest rate of 8.50 percent in 23.44 crore account holders for the monetary year (FY) 2020-21, the retirement fund body reported today on its Twitter handle.

“23.34 crore accounts have been credited with a premium of 8.50% for the FY 2020-21, ” EPFO said in a tweet.

In October, EPFO reported the assertion of the rate of interest for the Employees’ Provident Fund Members represents the year 2020-21.


“The Ministry of Labor and Employment has passed on the endorsement of the Central government under para 60(1) of Employees’ Provident Fund Scheme, 1952 to credit revenue at 8.50 percent for the year 2020-21 to the account of every individual from the EPF Scheme according to the arrangements under Para 60 of EPF Scheme, 1952,” EPFO had said in its true round.

To check the balance, EPFO individuals need to send a SMS to 7738299899 by composing EPFOHO UAN ENG.

In the wake of sending a missed call to 011-22901406, enrolled clients will get a SMS with subtleties of the PF account balance.

1) Go to the EPFO’s official site.

2) Now, go to the ‘Our Services’ tab and snap on ‘For Employees’.

3) On the new page, click on ‘Member Passbook’.

4) You will be approached to enter your UAN and password.

5) Once you sign in, your passbook showing both your and your employer’s commitment and the premium acquired thereof will come up.
