Elvish Yadav apologised to those whose sentiments have been hurt and clarified that there is nothing more important to him than his religion.
Elvish Yadav and Munawar Faruqui recently attended Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) 2024 when a photo of them hugging each other went viral on social media. Days after, Yadav has now issued a video statement and apologised for the same. Recently, the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner took to his YouTuber account and dropped a video in which he reacted to those calling him “anti-Hindu” or “gaddar (traitor)”.
Elvish Yadav apologised to those whose sentiments have been hurt and clarified that there is nothing more important to him than his religion. “Sabse pahel jo bhi mere Hindu bhai hai, unn sabhi ko mere taraf se haath jod ke sorry hai ke aapko bura laga ke maine Munawar ko gale lagaya (Firstly, I would like to apologise to my Hindu brothers with folded hands since you felt bad after I hugged Munawar),” Elvish said.
Later in his vlog, Elvish went on to say that he does not consider Munawar as his brother or friend. “Aap logo ne bola Elvish bhai ne galat kiya, hum maante hai maine galat kara. Apne Hindu dharam ke upar, apne Sanatan dharam ke upar hazaro Munawar Faruqui kurbaan hai. Usko main consider nahi karta apna dost ya bhai. On camera bol raha hu, mere liye mera dharam sabse upar hai (You guys said Elvish was wrong. I admit that I was wrong. I can sacrifice thousands of Munawar over my religion. I do not consider him as my friend or brother. I am saying this on camera. For me, my religion is supreme),” he added.
While Elvish Yadav was the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 17 earlier this year.
Elvish Yadav often lands in controversies. Just a few days back, he made headlines for allegedly attacking YouTuber Sagar Thakur aka Maxtern. Prior to this, his name also popped up in the Noida snake venom case.
