Wall Street Journal story that said the alleged affair was the reason for the Google cofounder to sell his stock in Musk’s companies.
According to the Journal, which cited persons familiar with the matter, Musk’s affair with Brin’s wife Nicole Shanahan began in Miami in December. The long-standing friendship between Musk and Brin ended as a result.
In January this year, Brin filed for divorce from Shanahan.
Despite having a prenuptial agreement, the Journal reported that Shanahan is demanding more than $1 billion from Brin in their settlement negotiations.
Musk claimed that the Journal’s report was false in a tweet. He said there was “nothing romantic” between Brin’s wife and him during his two encounters with her in the past three years, both of which took place in public.
Musk also said he’s still friends with Brin.
