Edtech platform Saarthi Pedagogy raises Rs 16 crore in funding led by Pinnacle Investments


Bengaluru: Ahmedabad-based edtech startup Saarthi Pedagogy has raised Rs 16 crore in a funding round led by Pinnacle Investments.


“We look forward to building a sustainable and capital-efficient ed-tech business that will truly impact the lives of millions of students studying in affordable schools in India,” said Sushil Agrawal, founder of Saarthi Pedagogy.

The fresh capital will be used to improve products, ramp up the technical team, create content, and expand the company’s sales reach, according to the company.

Saarthi Pedagogy, a B2B edtech company, provides a tech platform for all segments of K-12 education. They offer unique products to improvise the pedagogy or the teaching methods and offers teacher training programmes and is an academic growth partner for many schools in India.

In August 2021, Saarthi Pedagogy closed its first seed round of $1 million from JITO Angel Network, LetsVenture, Ecosystem Ventures and other marquee angels.

“Saarthi has witnessed significant success and caters to around 850 schools and 85,000 students and expects to sign up 2,000 schools and 2,00,000 students for the academic year 2022-23,” the company said in a prepared statement on Monday.

The company catered to around 220 schools in the academic year 2021-22.

Pinnacle Investments is a family office of the Promoter Irfan Razack and chief executive officer (CEO) Venkat K Narayana of the real estate group, Prestige.

“The need for technology in the educational sector has burgeoned and will develop further in the coming years…I am very passionate about education and firmly believe in its ability to transform the lives of children,” Narayana said.
