On the first day of their advance bookings, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki earned Rs 1.28 crore and Prabhas’ Salaar earned Rs 1.49 crore.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki is all set to hit theatres this Christmas, and the superstar’s fandom is all excited to see the drama unfold on screen. The trailer and songs from the movie have garnered a lot of buzz, and the wait until December 21 is proving to be a long one. Much to the delight of the fans, the advance ticket booking in India finally started on Saturday, December 16, and the film has already minted over a crore.
According to Sacnilk.com, Dunki has earned Rs 1.28 crore (gross) on day one of its advance booking opening. The advance booking is currently only available for Hindi shows. As per the tracker, Dunki has sold 35,206 tickets for 2,844 shows. As per the tracker, the maximum sales have come from regions like Maharashtra, Delhi, West Bengal, Gujrat and Karnataka.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki is going to clash with Prabhas’ Salaar. Trade analyst Girish Wankhede told ETimes that early predictions say that Dunki might do better than Salaar. He said, “Looking at both the trailers and the excitement right now I think ‘Dunki’ will have better screen space and better collections because this year seemingly belongs to Shah Rukh Khan and he may score a hattrick as he still is in great form and shape.”
Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki will clash with Prabhas’ Salaar as they will be released on December 21 and 22 respectively. The advance bookings for Salaar have also begun. On day one of its opening, the film has minted Rs 1.49 crore (gross) across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages. The film has sold 73,289 tickets for 1,151 shows.
Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, the Rajkumar Hirani film features an amazing ensemble cast led by Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and Vicky Kaushal. The plot follows the exciting journey of those who choose an unconventional route known as the Donkey Flight, showing the difficulties they face on their way. Produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan, this film is a collaboration between JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films.
