Shah Rukh Khan fans felt the wave of excitement after a supposed poster of Dunki went viral.
After the record-breaking success of his last two films Pathaan and Jawaan, superstar Shah Rukh Khan will soon grace the big screen again this year with his film Dunki. The film is directed by ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and will also star Taapsee Pannu in the lead. Amid the excitement, a poster has surfaced that has stoked people’s curiosity towards the film.
On Saturday, popular Shah Rukh Khan fan page dropped a poster on their X(formerly Twitter) handle. The picture shows a man(presumably Shah Rukh Khan) walking on the road with a heavy backpack, while clutching on to more luggage in hands. The title on the poster read, “A Soldier’s Journey To Keep A Promise.”
The poster also had the release date ’21st December.2023.”
However, our sources tell us this is infact a fan made poster. Regardless, several netizens expressed their love in the comment thread. One of them wrote, “#Dunki will be an emotion .” Another one commented, “Sensational ❤️.” Someone else said, “Great. Adding to my Christmas gift list..” A fan also stated, “This movie should be promoted extensively, especially in the overseas markets like america and uk. it can become huge.”
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani were rolling in together for a private bash in Mumbai recently. Shah Rukh looked dapper in an all-black suit with his gelled hair pulled back in a small ponytail and Rajkumari Hirari sported a white shirt with a dark red sleeveless jacket. As both made their way out of Shah Rukh Khan’s luxurious Rolls-Royce Cullinan, they were greeted by fans with loud cheers.
Internet went abuzz with speculations that the party was hosted by Rajkumar Hirani to celebrate the wrap up of Dunki shoot. The party was attended by a selected bunch of Bollywood celebs including Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan and daughter Suhana Khan.
For quite some time now, it has been said that Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan’s first film with Rajkumari Hirani, will revolve around ‘donkey flight’ – a route used by illegal migrants to move to other countries, especially the US and Canada.
“While the film does deal with the issue of immigration, it isn’t based in Canada or has anything to do with Indians based in Canada. It is a very sensitively made film that deals with a man’s journey of trying to find a better way of life and the various emotions he goes through while doing so,” a source cited by India Today claims. However, Showsha cannot vouch for the authenticity of the report.
The film is set to release on December 22.
