Ducati Multistrada V4S, price, features, suspension, tyres, off-road

The Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is a proper tarmac slaying ADV option

I have a 2017 Triumph Tiger 800 that’s served me quite well over the many interstate trips that I’ve undertaken in the country. I’m now looking forward to upgrading to a new adventure motorcycle in the 1,200cc plus category. I’m purely a tarmac biased rider and I’ve no intention of riding these big machines offroad, save for the occasional trip down a trail. Budget isn’t a constraint and all I want is a bike that’s heaps of fun.

Autocar India says: Considering the fact that you are primarily going to ride on tarmac and the fun element in the bike is of major importance, the Ducati Multistrada V4S is an excellent choice. Its V4 engine is the star of the show, packing enough performance to propel you to serious speeds but flexible enough to be ridden at sedate speeds. The electronics suite is among the best out there but the cherry on top is how light and flickable it feels while attacking a series of corners. While you aren’t looking to ride it off-road, should the opportunity arise, the Multistrada V4S is surprisingly good as we discovered during our mega Delhi-Mumbai ADV bike comparison.

On the other hand, if you want a sportier iteration of the Ducati Multistrada V4, the Pikes Peak variant is a pricey but proper tarmac slaying ADV option. With 17-inch wheels at both ends, Ohlins suspension and road tyres, the Multistrada Pikes Peak would be quite the entertainer.
