Do You Apply Ghee Or Almond Oil To Your Belly Button? Expert Shares What’s Better –

Cow ghee is the best for eye health.

Almond oil has the potential to heat the body, making it less suitable for use during the summer but acceptable during the winter.

Due to increased screen time, the majority of people, from children to adults, are experiencing weakened eyesight and compromised eye health. While various natural remedies aim to bolster eye health, a traditional practice recommends applying either ghee or almond oil to the belly button for improved eyesight. The critical question is whether ghee or almond oil is more beneficial for eye health.

Naturopath Meher Singh, in an interview with , emphasised the significance of the belly button in this practice. According to Ayurveda and Naturopathy, the navel serves as the body’s central point, with 72,000 nerves connecting it to various body parts, including an optic nerve leading to the eyes.

So, what is more suitable to apply to your belly button for improved eyesight navel application, ghee or almond oil? Dr Meher Singh recommended using desi cow’s ghee or almond oil for enhancing eye health, with an emphasis on using ghee from desi cows rather than buffalo milk or other types of cows.

He explained that desi cow’s ghee is alkaline and possesses cooling properties, making it more suitable. On the other hand, almond oil and other oils have acidic properties, with almond oil having the potential to heat the body, making it less suitable for use during the summer but acceptable during the winter. Despite these considerations, the doctor generally recommends ghee over oil.

The application process is straightforward. Each night before sleep, take three to four drops of desi cow’s ghee and apply it to the belly button. Consistent application over time may lead to noticeable improvements in eye health, including enhanced eyesight and vision strength. However, for those with blurred vision or other eye-related issues, consulting a medical professional is advised.
