Vegetable Salad

A plate of fresh salad, comprising cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, celery, broccoli, carrots, and onions, with lime and rock salt, is an excellent detox option. Rich in fibre, salads help clear the bowels and expel toxins, providing essential vitamins and minerals.

Curd

Curd, fermented from milk, introduces beneficial bacteria to the gut and helps in digestion and detoxification. It restores healthy gut microbiota, particularly crucial after consuming junk food that may disrupt the balance. Sweet curd is preferable for those with acidity issues.

Green Tea

Replace sugary drinks with green tea. Green tea is rich in antioxidants called catechins, which help in flushing out toxins from the body and promoting overall well-being.

Fruits

Citrus fruits such as lemon and oranges, rich in vitamin C, act as powerful detoxifying antioxidants. Additionally, red grapes, berries, watermelon, and pomegranates contain phytochemicals that support the kidneys in effectively removing toxins.

Turmeric

Add turmeric to your dishes or enjoy it as a warm turmeric tea. Turmeric contains curcumin, known for its anti-inflammatory and detoxifying properties.

Green Leafy Vegetables

Incorporate a variety of green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale, and broccoli into your meals. These vegetables are rich in antioxidants and fibre. They help in digestion and detoxification.

Adequate Water Intake

Meanwhile, hydration plays a crucial role in the detoxification process. Adequate water intake is essential to flush out toxins from the body and support kidney function. It helps neutralize acidity, a common consequence of indulging in rich and oily foods during festive seasons. By promoting the removal of accumulated waste products, water contributes significantly to maintaining overall health and well-being.
