In Maharashtra, Sant Muktabai is recognised as the leading figure among immortalised women saints, attributed to her notable achievements. Sant Muktabai, widely known as the younger sister of Sant Dnyaneshwar, lived a relatively short life, much like her brother. Despite their brief lifespans, the impact of their work was substantial. Muktabai’s concise life exemplified profound enlightenment.
Sant Muktabai, recognised as the incarnation of Adimaya, played a role in paving the way for women in the spiritual domain during her era. Her contributions laid the groundwork for the Bhagavata Dharma revolution, spearheaded by Saint Dnyaneshwar. Despite a brief lifespan of fourteen to eighteen years, Sant Muktabai authored numerous Abhangs, serving as a paradigm for women’s achievements.
Digpal Lanjekar aims to inspire the current generation with the film on Sant Muktabai, showcasing her distinctive work and enduring legacy.
In a recent development, the next instalment of Digpal Lanjekar’s series titled Subhedar was officially released on August 25. He has also unveiled plans for his upcoming project, Bhadrakali, in collaboration with Prasad Oak. The film is set to explore the narrative inspired by Sarsenapati Umabai.
