Netizens think that Deepika Padukone saying she has great chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor did not sit well with Ranveer Singh.
Karan Johar’s popular talk show Koffee With Karan 8 premiered on Thursday, October 26 with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh gracing the couch as the first guests on the show. While netizens could not stop gushing over Ranveer and Deepika’s electrifying chemistry on the show, some eagle-eyed fans also noticed a moment when Ranveer appeared to be tense because of one of Deepika’s answers during the rapid-fire segment.
Karan Johar had first asked Ranveer whom he thought Deepika had the best chemistry. He took Deepika’s Pathaan co-star Shah Rukh Khan’s name. When the same question was posed to Deepika, she took a few names like her Piku co-star Irrfan, her fighter co-star Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor, with whom she has done multiple films.
However, netizens on Reddit seem to think that Deepika taking Ranbir’s name irked Ranveer due to their dating history. Ranveer’s reaction has now gone viral on the microblogging site. One person wrote, “Ranveer’s face when he looked at her during THAT convo was the human embodiment of that ‘ya sure’ zoned out black cat meme.” Another added, “Karan’s reaction to her naming Ranbir. The dude was looking down then looked up a little stunned when he heard her take his name.”
However, one person asked, “Didn’t he (Ranveer) also say the same thing? He said Ranbir has great chemistry with her and he wants all three of them in the remake of Sangam.” Another user added, “Whenever I open Reddit their picture comes in different angles .” One person commented, “The amount of scrutiny on every single line of theirs is staggering.”
Karan Johar then promised to cast all three actors in the remake of the film Sangam.
