Deepika Padukone Makes India Proud at BAFTA, Wears Saree and Presents Film Not in English Award | Watch –

Deepika Padukone at BAFTA 2024: It was truly a moment of pride for India as Deepika Padukone attended the BAFTA 2024 Awards as a presenter. The actress, who was the only Bollywood actress present at the ceremony, presented the award for the Film Not in English Language Award category. Deepika walked on stage wearing a golden saree, by Sabyasachi, and with ample grace presented the award.

Before presenting the award, Deepika introduced the nominations of the categories. “The incredible stories nominated in this category, depict real and imagined worlds that stay with us long after the credits roll. From the Alps to the Andes, South Poland to Seoul and to Ukraine, the nominees are…” she said as the AV rolled out the nominations — 20 Days in Mariupol, Anatomy of a Fall, Past Lives, Society of the Snow and The Zone of Interest.

“And the BAFTA goes to… The Zone of Interest,” Deepika announced, welcoming the winner and congratulating him on his win. Watch the video below:

Ahead of the ceremony, Deepika was seen walking the red carpet of the event. Reminding us of the Om Shanti Om era, Deepika was seen walking the red carpet and striking a pose while smile for the cameras. She even gave the cameramen a look at her backless blouse and neatly tucked in hair before she walked into the ceremony. For those who missed the ceremony, 77th EE BAFTA Film Awards is streaming on Lionsgate Play in India.

Deepika’s BAFTA 2024 attendance comes a year after she was seen on the Oscars 2023 stage. The actress had introduced RRR’s Oscar winning song Naatu Naatu at the 95th Academy Awards which took place in March 2023.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika was last seen in Fighter, opposite Hrithik Roshan. The actress is rumoured to be a part of White Lotus season 3 and has a number of films lined up, including Kalki 2989 AD with Prabhas.
