Deepak Visweswaraiah to head software firm Pega India’s leadership team


US-based software company Pega‘s Indian business will transition into a function-based model, the company said today.


The Indian leadership team – to be led by Deepak Visweswaraiah, vice-president, platform engineering, and site managing director, India – will comprise senior functional leaders across legal, finance, facilities, and people, among others. The team will take on elevated roles and be collectively responsible for the organization’s growth prospects.

Visweswaraiah brings expertise in leading research and development (R&D) and cloud operations across India and the USA.

With significant leadership experience, he is expected to bolster the organization’s efforts in strengthening and growing its India operations, the statement added. He will continue to focus on leading the platform engineering team.

With a head count of nearly 2,000 employees, Pega India plays a major role in the organization’s global R&D innovation and cloud services.

Suman Reddy, the current managing director and country head of Pega India, will leave the firm in July to start a new company within the Pega ecosystem, which will provide high-quality consulting and delivery services.
