The mid-size SUV segment has a variety of fun-to-drive turbo-petrol SUVs to choose from. Here’s what we’d pick.
I want to replace my 2016 model Honda Jazz and want a fun-to-drive car with decent features. My budget is up to Rs 22 lakh, and I have my heart set on the Seltos. However, I am wondering if it’s worth the wait for the new model as there is no clarity yet on when it will come. Is any other car in the segment?

Autocar India says: The Seltos is a good choice and the 1.4 turbo petrol with the DCT gearbox is great to drive. It is loaded with features as well and pretty reliable too. You could also consider the 1.5 TSI versions of the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun. Both these cars are fundamentally the same and offer a better driving experience than the Seltos thanks to a brilliant 150hp engine, quick shifting DSG auto box and by far the best ride and handling balance. The only issue is that neither the Kushaq nor the Taigun are as well equipped as the Seltos and they aren’t as spacious either.
