Dearness Allowance now 34% as per 7th Central Pay Commission, see details

DA Hike News: The Union Cabinet on Wednesday climbed Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) by 3% to 34 percent to benefit over 1.16 crore focal government representatives and retired people.

The extra installment will be compelling from January 1, 2022, said an official release after the Cabinet meeting.


“This increment is as per the acknowledged equation, which depends on the suggestions of the seventh Central Pay Commission,” it said.

The joined effect on the exchequer because of both Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief will be Rs 9,544.50 crore per annum.

This will benefit around 47.68 lakh central government workers and 68.62 lakh beneficiaries, the delivery said.
