7th Pay Commission Recent news: It is anticipated that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will increase the Fitment Factor in January, which is good news for the thousands of central government employees who are hoping to receive a New Year’s gift from the government. It should be noted that central government employees all over India have been calling for the fitment factor to be changed.
As per the recommendations of the seventh pay commission, Central government employees have requested a rise in the fitment factor from 2.57 times to 3.68 times. All employees of the central government will benefit from the increase in the fitment factor.
Salary increase
If the Center decides to triple the fitment factor, the employees’ salaries, excluding allowances, will be Rs 46,260, or 18,000 times 2.57.
The salary will be Rs 95,680 if the center agrees to the demands of the employees.
The salary will be Rs 63,000 if the Centre accepts a threefold increase in the fitment factor.
According to the 7th Pay Commission’s recommendations, the basic salary, fitment factor, and allowances of central government employees determine their compensation.
DA increase
The dearness allowance (DA) for central employees was increased from 34% to 38% in September 2022. As a result of the DA increase, employees will be eligible for a larger Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief starting on July 1, 2022.
