Founded in 2016 by Arjun Gupta, Courseplay captures data to provide growth suggestions to employers and their teams through its web application, chatbot, and mobile apps. In 2020, the startup engaged almost 400,000 employees, offering them over 100,000 activities. The Mumbai-based startup counts Amazon, SpiceJet, Emami, Swiggy, etc., as its clientele.
“We’re ready to capitalise on the wave of digital transformation and accelerate our expansion plans across emerging markets like India, Southeast Asia and the Middle East,” Gupta said.
Corporate learning and talent development is a $450-billion market worldwide. Employee experience is one of the fastest growing segments in the enterprise SaaS sector. Coursera estimates that the market will grow at 20-25% annually for the next three years, given the recent push for digital transformation by companies in the region.
“Upskilling employees and improving workforce performance through regular staff training programmes has always been a must for companies across sectors. However, training employees offline is an expensive affair,” said Vinay Bansal, founder and chief executive of Inflection Point Ventures. “Courseplay provides the most cost-effective and scalable online learning technology solution. This online training programme has been the need of an hour especially with the world going digital due to Covid-19.”
