Chiranjeevi is going to officially announce his film, Mega 157.
South superstar Chiranjeevi is set to make an official announcement on Monday about his upcoming film, according to latest reports. Chiranjeevi had put his film, which is tentatively titled Mega 156, on hold after the failure of Bhola Shankar. Mega 156 is to be directed by Kalyan Ram.
The announcement will be made on the occasion of Dussehra, with a grand puja ceremony. Mega 157 is said to be directed by Mallidi Vasishta. He has also directed the film Bimbisara, which starred Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. Reports say that this new project is going to be an epic fantasy film. The pre-production for the film has been completed.
Earlier, it was reported that the film is a sequel to Chiranjeevi’s Jagadega Veerudu Atiloka Sundari. Later, the makers of the project clarified that the only common point of the movie is Chiranjeevi and that it has no relation to this film. Mega 157’s music will be given by Oscar-winning music composer, MM Keeravani. According to Vasishta, Chiranjeevi’s character in the film has been done or crafted very well.
Rumour has it that the makers are considering Mulloka Veerudu as the official title of the film. They expect to complete the film as soon as possible and get it ready for a 2025 Sankranthi release. The shooting is scheduled to start reportedly from the first week of November and is expected to end by the last week of April 2024.
Till now, the names of three actresses who have been linked to the film as female leads are Anushka Shetty, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Mrunal Thakur. The film is being produced by UV Creations.
