Chiranjeevi Congratulates Revnath Reddy On Becoming Telangana's New CM –


Chiranjeevi founded the Praja Rajyam Party in 2008.


Chiranjeevi also congratulated Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu for swearing in as Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana.

Congress Party Minister A Revnath Reddy took an oath as the new Chief Minister of Telangana on Wednesday afternoon. After a landslide victory over BJP and other opposition parties, Congress decided A Revnath Reddy to make the Chief Minister of the state.

On the occasion, veteran actor Chiranjeevi congratulated A Revnath Reddy. Along with this, he also congratulated Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu for swearing in as Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana. Chiranjeevi’s tweet has now gone viral. While congratulating, the actor wrote that he hopes that the state progresses further under the leadership of A Revnath Reddy. He also congratulated all the cabinet members and the Congress Party for the success.

The Deputy Chief Minister, Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu thanked the actor for his heartfelt wishes.

The actor started this year with one of the biggest blockbuster movies of his life, Waltair Veerayya. Chiranjeevi played the lead role in the movie. Actors Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan and Catherine Tresa also played prominent roles in the movie. It became one of the highest-grossing Telugu movies of 2023. The actor was recently seen in the movie Bholaa Shankar which was directed by Mehr Ramesh. It starred Chiranjeevi in the titular character with Tamannaah Bhatia, Keerthy Suresh and Sushanth. It couldn’t perform well at the box office. The movie was the remake of the Tamil film Vedalam.

Apart from achieving success in the film industry, the actor has also established his name as a politician in Andhra Pradesh. He founded the political party Praja Rajyam Party in 2008. During the launch, the actor stated that social justice was the main agenda of this party. During the 2009 general election, the party won 18 of the 294 seats in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. In 2011, the actor merged his party with the Indian National Congress. He also became a Rajya Sabha member in 2012 which concluded in 2018. The actor has not been active in politics for a long time.
