Beginning in January 2023, certain SBI credit cardholders will be subject to new rules. For SimplyCLICK Cardholders, State Bank of India Cards and Payment Services has amended certain rules.
According to the State Bank of India Cards & Payment Services website, two rules regarding the redemption of vouchers and Reward Points will be altered in the New Year 2023.
“W.e.f. The Cleartrip voucher that SimplyCLICK Cardholders receive upon reaching the online spend milestone on January 6, 2023, must be redeemed once only and cannot be combined with any other offer or voucher. “For additional information,” SBI Cards and Payment Services stated.
The guidelines for redeeming SimplyCLICK/SimplyCLICK Reward Points for online Amazon.in purchases will also change on January 1.
“From January 1, 23, the SimplyCLICK/SimplyCLICK Advantage SBI Card will offer 5X reward points for online Amazon.in purchases instead of 10X reward points. On online purchases made at Apollo 24X7, BookMyShow, Cleartrip, EazyDiner, Lenskart, and Netmeds, your card will continue to earn 10X Reward Points.”
Charges for EMI transactions
You may recall that SBI cards will begin charging new fees for rent payments made with credit cards and revised charges for EMI transactions on November 15, 2022.
“Charges on your Visa will be changed/imposed w.e.f. from Nov. 15, 22. From Rs 99 plus applicable taxes, the processing fee for merchant EMI transactions has been raised to Rs 199. The company stated, “The processing fee for rent payment transactions will be Rs 99, plus any applicable taxes.”
